
Biography
Krystal Marie Uchem (she/her) was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Although shy and sheltered, Krystal always knew that she wanted to be a performer. After being rejected into her 6th grade drama club for "not being loud enough," she knew that she had to work harder and believe in herself in order to live out her full potential. At that time theatre was the only thing that challenged her. Like most theatre makers, Krystal feel in love with storytelling, the exploration of human condition and the sense of belonging. After years of school plays and community theatre, Krystal landed her first professional acting role at the age of 16. Krystal quickly learned that that her passions existed not just on the stage, but behind the scenes as well. After graduating college with a BFA in Theatre from the University of Houston, Krystal launched a career in costume design, while continuing a career in acting. Krystal has a variety of other interest which include: sports, health and fitness and playing the guitar and saxophone.
